What we keep
- The certificate details you type or that we read from your photo, and the report we write.
- Your photo of the certificate, if you upload one. We keep it to build a library of old certificates.
- The email address you give at checkout, so we can send your report and, if we found no answer, contact you if our sources improve.
- A scrambled form of your internet address for 24 hours, to limit how many photos one visitor can have read.
Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
Who handles it for us
We don't sell your information. These services handle it only to run the site:
- Stripe takes payments.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its data, runs the web searches for our research, and sends our emails. Like any host, it sees each visit, including your internet address, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and keeps short-lived security logs.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to our public pages. It uses no cookies and doesn't follow you across sites, and it's off on report and admin pages.
- Google Analytics tells us how visitors find the site and how far they get (the free check, starting an order, a report delivered). It sets cookies and runs only on public pages, never on report or admin pages, and never sees your email address or the certificate details. Visitors from the EU, UK and Switzerland get it without cookies.
- Proton hosts our email inbox (contact@stocklineage.com): if you write to us, your message is stored there.
- OpenRouter and the AI providers it uses (DeepInfra, CoreWeave and Novita) research and check your report from the certificate details. They don't see your email address.
- Anthropic reads the details off certificate photos.
We also search public records such as SEC EDGAR for the company names you enter.
How long we keep it
Orders and reports: 7 years, for our accounting records, then they're deleted automatically. Your email address and photo: until you ask us to delete them.
Deleting your information
Email contact@stocklineage.com and we'll delete your email address, your photo and your order details, except what we must keep for accounting.
